You’re invited to celebrate Diwali 2025 at Riverglades! Entrance to the event is FREE, but your registration helps us ensure that we have enough supplies for all our families to enjoy. Please indicate how many kids and adults will be attending with you by adding the correct number of guests to your cart.

at Riverglades Elementary
Bring the entire family for a colorful night learning about this major cultural holiday, celebrated by over 1 billion people around the world. The event will feature:
Bollywood music and DJ Play
Cultural dance performances
Sweet and savory traditional food and drink
Mehndi (henna)
Crafts and scavenger hunt for the kids
and more
There is no dress code, however we encourage you to wear traditional attire if you have it - think vibrant and embroidered sarees, salwar kameez, lehengas, or kurtas! We can't wait to see you there! Questions? Email diwali@rivergladespta.com.
What is Diwali?
Diwali, known as the festival of lights, originated over 2,500 years ago in India and is celebrated by over 1 billion people worldwide. It symbolizes the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. Celebrations often feature parades, cultural performances, and elaborate light displays. Families come together to light traditional oil lamps called diyas, share sweets, and enjoy traditional meals.
